Developed and administered a department's annual budgets of $16.5 million in operational expense and a capital budget of $8 million. · Performed broad, multifunctional responsibilities encompassing management of engineering aspects of capital projects, from development, design, installation, and start-up. Developing project documentation, and costs considerations. Troubleshooting start-up problems and implemented effective solutions within the project scope. Developed and managed a project for a waste water treatment system. Developed, engineered and managed a $4 million project for a complete redesigns and refits of a 300,000 lb. Ammonia refrigeration system. This system 16 blast freezers and 3 cold storage warehouses. Successfully built an engineering and maintenance management team to support the manufacturing operations. Proactively interacted with the operations managers to ensure that there was continuous improvement in yields, output, productivity and cost to meet manufacturing and business requirements. This includes developing performance metrics and tactical plan for continuous improvement. As a result continuous improvement plan the operational savings of $6.5 million. Manage the development of the management team by mentoring and coaching both engineers and managers. Developed, implemented and manage Process Safety Management (PSM) and Rick Management Program (RMP). Extensive experience and working knowledge of RCRA, OSHA, SARA, and CERCLA regulations, Program Quality Assurance/Auditing, Process Hazards Analysis (PHA), Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Program (RMP) and Hazard Operability Studies HAZOP. · Responsible for maintaining and modifications to steam, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC systems, and buildings. Responsible for all EPA reporting and permitting. |
