| Job Description: | GENERAL SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for the implementation of all phases of human resources for multiple facilities ( 21,000+ employees) Position ensures the quality of human resource processes that address current, anticipated and future business challenges. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports, develops and mentors the HR Generalists supporting the operations complexes and their leaders; provides input in the selection of HR professionals for the field that report through the operations group. Implements and aligns training and development programs focused on achieving outstanding performance across the operations in the Division. This includes but is not limited to training in workforce planning/selection, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, and compliance. Understanding of protein business unit operations, develops financial metrics/drivers/trends and is able to present the impact (ROI) of HR strategies/programs/services. Partners with management in dealing with employee separations, terminations and resolving employee relations issues. Acting in the role of "change agent", promotes innovation, continual improvement and action-based results. Directs local union avoidance and labor relations strategies as appropriate with assistance from corporate resources; assists with contract negotiations, grievance resolution, contract interpretation and administration, and hourly workforce effectiveness programs. Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with division human resources staff to exchange information and provide ongoing support and problem resolution. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Minimum of 10 years of experience in a corporate or business unit HR role with a history of providing HR solutions to business issues, some of which is across distributed business locations. Expert knowledge of HR functions (employee relations, staffing, compensation and benefits delivery, etc.) and the legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting these areas of human resources. Ability to build human capacity (Skills and Leadership Development). Broad business experience from an operating and management perspective. Ability/willingness to travel up to 40%. Experience in union and non-union environment. Must have experience with multiple facilities as this position will have over 20 locations. Enjoy life - it has an expiration date!
